Its chemical name is butoxyethyl 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyloxyacetate, and it is a systemic, conductive pyridyloxycarboxylic acid herbicide. After being absorbed by the leaf surface and root system of plants, it is conducted throughout the entire plant, acting on nucleic acid metabolism. This leads to the production of excessive nucleic acids in the plant, resulting in malformed leaves, stems, and roots, depletion of stored substances, embolism or rupture of vascular bundle tissues, and ultimately, gradual death of the plant. It is suitable for use in non-cropped areas and forests to control broad-leaved weeds and woody plants, and can also be used in fields of gramineous crops such as wheat, corn, oats, and sorghum to control broad-leaved weeds.
